    Understanding Your Bill

    Your ExperienceLocal bill consists of two components:

    SaaS Subscription

    A fixed monthly fee based on your plan tier. This covers platform access, features, and support. Billed on the same date each month.

    Transaction Fees

    A percentage of each booking processed through your widget. Rates range from 1% to 5% depending on your plan.

    How Billing Works

    Monthly Billing Cycle

    Your billing cycle starts on the day you subscribe. Each month on this date, we charge your subscription fee plus any accumulated transaction fees from the previous period.

    Transaction fees are calculated in real-time but charged at the end of each billing cycle, not per-transaction.

    Prorated Upgrades

    When you upgrade mid-cycle, you're charged the prorated difference immediately. For example, if you upgrade from Starter ($79/mo) to Professional ($199/mo) halfway through your billing cycle, you'll be charged approximately $60 for the remaining days.

    Credits for Downgrades

    When you downgrade, you keep access to your current plan until the end of your billing period. The new, lower rate takes effect on your next billing date. Any unused credit is applied to future invoices.

    14-Day Free Trial

    Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial of the Professional plan. No credit card required. You get full access to all features so you can properly evaluate the platform.

    If you don't upgrade before your trial ends, your account automatically moves to the Free plan. You won't lose any data, but some features will be limited.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    When does my trial end?
    Your 14-day free trial starts the moment you create your account. You'll receive email reminders at 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before your trial ends. You can view your exact trial end date in your billing dashboard.
    How do I update my payment method?
    Go to Dashboard → Billing and click "Manage Subscription". This opens the Stripe customer portal where you can update your card, view invoices, and manage your payment details securely.
    Can I get a refund?
    We offer prorated refunds for annual subscriptions if you cancel within 30 days. Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable but you can cancel anytime and continue using the service until the end of your billing period.
    What happens if my payment fails?
    We'll retry the payment automatically over the next few days and send you email notifications. If payment continues to fail after 14 days, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan. You won't lose any data.
    Can I change plans mid-cycle?
    Yes! Upgrades take effect immediately and you're charged a prorated amount. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period—you keep access to your current plan until then.
