3.2 Offensive or Abusive Content
- Is defamatory, libelous, or slanderous
- Is obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit
- Promotes violence, terrorism, or hatred toward any individual or group
- Harasses, bullies, threatens, or intimidates others
- Discriminates based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Exploits or endangers minors in any way
3.3 Misleading Content
- Is false, inaccurate, or misleading
- Impersonates any person or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation
- Creates a false impression of endorsement, sponsorship, or association
- Contains false testimonials or fabricated reviews
- Uses deceptive practices to manipulate search results or rankings
3.4 Private or Confidential Information
- Discloses personal information of others without their consent
- Violates any duty of confidentiality
- Contains trade secrets or proprietary information of third parties
4. Prohibited Activities
You may not engage in the following activities:
4.1 Illegal Activities
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crimes
- Illegal gambling or gaming activities
- Sale or promotion of illegal goods, services, or substances
- Human trafficking or exploitation
- Any activity that violates applicable sanctions or export controls
4.2 Fraud and Deception
- Engaging in fraudulent transactions or schemes
- Creating fake accounts or multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Manipulating pricing, availability, or booking data
- Making false claims about Experiences, Resources, or your business
- Accepting bookings you know you cannot fulfill
4.3 Platform Abuse
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Interfering with or disrupting the Services, servers, or networks
- Bypassing any security measures, authentication, or access controls
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Services
- Using the Services to develop a competing product or service
- Reselling or redistributing the Services without authorization
4.4 Data Abuse
- Scraping, harvesting, or collecting data from the Services without authorization
- Using automated means (bots, scripts, crawlers) without our express permission
- Accessing, storing, or using data in violation of privacy laws
- Selling or sharing user data obtained through the Services
5. Experience & Resource Standards
If you create or manage Experiences or Resources on our platform, you must comply with the following standards:
5.1 Accurate Information
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date descriptions
- Display current and honest pricing, including all fees and taxes
- Include accurate availability information
- Clearly disclose any requirements, restrictions, age limits, or physical demands
- Use only photos and media you have the right to use and that accurately represent the Experience
5.2 Safety and Compliance
- Comply with all applicable health and safety regulations
- Maintain all required licenses, permits, and insurance
- Clearly disclose any risks associated with the Experience
- Have appropriate emergency procedures in place
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and safe
5.3 Legal Compliance
- Operate in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Comply with consumer protection laws
- Meet all tax obligations
- Respect intellectual property rights
- Comply with accessibility requirements where applicable
6. Booking Integrity
To maintain the integrity of our booking system, you must not:
- Make false, fraudulent, or speculative bookings
- Create fake reviews or ratings for yourself or others
- Offer incentives for positive reviews or penalties for negative reviews
- Manipulate availability to create artificial scarcity or inflate demand
- Engage in price manipulation or price gouging
- Systematically cancel bookings to avoid fees or manipulate metrics
- Circumvent the platform to avoid transaction fees (e.g., directing Guests to book directly)
- Accept payment outside the platform for bookings made through the platform
- Use the platform to collect contact information for off-platform transactions
7. API & Technical Usage
If you access our Services through APIs or technical integrations, you must:
- Comply with all API documentation, rate limits, and usage guidelines
- Secure your API credentials and not share them with unauthorized parties
- Not exceed rate limits or make excessive requests that could degrade service
- Not use APIs for purposes other than those for which they are intended
- Promptly report any security vulnerabilities you discover
- Keep integrations up to date with our current API versions
- Not circumvent any technical restrictions or security measures
8. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must:
- Use a strong, unique password for your account
- Enable multi-factor authentication when available
- Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with others
- Log out from shared or public devices
- Keep your contact information current so we can reach you about security issues
- Immediately report any suspected unauthorized access or security breaches
- Not use credentials or accounts belonging to others without authorization
9. Reporting Violations
We encourage you to report any violations of this policy. If you become aware of any content, activity, or conduct that violates this AUP, please report it to us at abuse@experiencelocal.io.
Your report should include:
- A clear description of the violation
- The account, content, or Experience involved (if applicable)
- Any evidence supporting your report (screenshots, URLs, etc.)
- Your contact information (optional, but helpful for follow-up)
We will review all reports and take appropriate action. We appreciate your help in keeping our platform safe. However, we may not be able to disclose specific actions taken due to privacy and legal considerations.
We prohibit retaliation against anyone who reports a violation in good faith.
10. Enforcement
We take violations of this policy seriously. We may investigate any suspected violation and take appropriate action in our sole discretion.
Enforcement actions may include, but are not limited to:
- Warning the account holder
- Removing or disabling content that violates this policy
- Temporarily suspending access to the Services
- Permanently terminating accounts
- Removing Experiences or Resources from the platform
- Withholding payouts
- Reporting violations to law enforcement or regulatory authorities
- Taking legal action to protect our rights and the rights of others
We may take immediate action without prior notice for severe violations or when necessary to protect the safety or integrity of our Services or users.
If your account is suspended or terminated, you may not create new accounts or access the Services through other accounts without our express written permission.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on our website with a new "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by email.
